We are looking for ambitious candidates with impressive design portfolios who are passionate about working on exciting international projects in a dynamic design led environment. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in all phases of the design process with excellent project management, client coordination and people management skills.

All candidates must have:

- Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years post qualification design experience.
- Membership of a professional association.
- Strong design skills and experience in all phases of the design process.
- Built Project Experience where delivery of concept has been achieved.
- Ability to apply a technical rigor to the production and coordination of drawing packages and the ability to put a building together.
- Sound knowledge of 3D delivery tools is beneficial.

John Lum Architecture is a recognized architecture practice located in the Mission District of San Francisco. Our work encompasses a variety of residential projects including remodels, new construction, and commercial interiors with an emphasis on green design. The ideal candidate will be a polished professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of architectural experience, a strong design aesthetic, and a proven track record for managing a project from inception to completion. Duties will include assistance with all phases of project delivery including: design, construction documentation, permitting and entitlements, bidding/negotiation, construction administration, scheduling, and client management.

The position requires a self-motivated, organized individual with an ability to work independently. Our firm is small enough so that multiple projects are assigned to each individual or to small teams, ensuring a well rounded and fulfilling work experience.

Qualifications:

- Vectorworks 2013 (preferred, but not required).
- Adobe Suite.
- Rhino 5.
- Working knowledge of CA Building Code.
- Accredited Architectural Degree.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in handling clients and project delivery.
- Experience in Type V construction/residential construction documents/detailing/construction administration.
- Design portfolio.
