Our client an award winning practice based in West London are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join their rapidly growing office. In the Project Architect role you will be working on some exciting and prestigious projects in the UK across the high end residential and commercial sectors.
As Project Architect you should have solid experience gained at leading design firms as well as proven experience in all aspects of design & delivery. For the Project Architect role you will ideally have 7 or more years experience in delivering high quality commercial buildings in central London. You will also have experience of leading teams in the delivery of contracts and should ideally have some experience of working in BIM. A good knowledge of Revit is essential.
Andrew Franz Architect PLLC, a well published, modern, and detail-oriented architecture and interior design studio, has an immediate opening for a Senior Interior Designer with 7-10 years of professional experience to lead our Interior Design and Decorating Department.
The Senior Designer will be responsible for managing and directing all aspects of the interior design process and will be working directly with principal on the firm’s high-end residential and commercial interior design projects.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with great design talent and deep knowledge about the design process, and has the ability to work within modern and historic contexts to create distinctive, timeless, and modern interiors. The candidate has excellent communication skills and thrives working in a collaborative and vibrant team setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Take projects from inception to fruition.
- Lead interior design projects and team members.
- Coordinate all technical requirements with appropriate team members.
- Build client relations and team communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and fabricators.
- Oversee all finish, furniture and material selections.
- Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts for firm and attend industry events.
- Design and supervise fabrication of custom furniture.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of the design process, including custom furniture, construction, specifications, colors and materials, and extensive knowledge of local and international sources and trends.
- Strong leadership, organization and relationship management skills; experience being in charge of multiple design staff and running multiple projects simultaneously.
- Significant high end residential experience with contemporary, multi-cultural, interiors.
- Excellent presentation skills and relationship building skills; ability to effectively communicate plans and details in any situation to both the client and the team.
- Proficient with computer design programs; AutoCAD is a must, Illustrator, Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Suite. SketchUp, 3DMax or Rhino a plus.
