Under the supervision of a licensed architect, assist with design of complex, mixed-use, large scale residential projects using comprehensive knowledge of NYC building systems based on 2008 building codes, construction methods and market practices. Develop plans, reflected ceiling plans, sections, elevations, details and door/bathroom/kitchen finish schedule for high-rise condominium construction set with the use of BIM technology (Revit) and AutoCAD. Develop AGR drawings for marketing purposes, building drawings using AutoCAD and design presentations using Revit. Research wheelchair accessibility requirements for apartment unit bathrooms and amenity spaces using comprehensive knowledge of ADA. Propose best business practices using understanding of building materials based on LEED guideline. Coordinate preparation of Construction Documents with BIM technology and Revit. Provide final Drawing Set to be the base of the Contractor’s Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Collaborate with interior designers in selecting color, materials, furniture and fixtures. Coordinate technical information with contractors, engineering consultants, client and end-users.

BS in Architecture and 5 years of progressive experience or MS in Architecture and 2 years of experience.

dRMM Architects is an international design-led studio based in London Bridge. We are seeking an experienced Part III Architect to join a project team working on a unique school project and to provide support through RIBA work stage E onwards. The position will be offered on a fixed term contract initially.

Responsibilities will include researching and developing solutions to architectural problems, developing and drafting concept and detail designs in CAD and by hand, coordinating design team outputs and the preparation of architectural outline and NBS specifications. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the running of projects and to oversee the work of junior team members.

The successful candidate will be RIBA Part III qualified -or equivalent- with a minimum of 3 years post qualification practice. Fluency in Vectorworks, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite is a minimum, with specific experience in production information and specification writing. Familiarity with BIM, Rhino, Maxwell and model making are advantageous.

The successful candidate will have excellent English speaking and writing skills, be well organised and have a proven track record of having worked independently and as part of a team through all work stages of projects. Experience in leading specific packages of a project or in team management is advantageous.
