ODELL, a national and international leader in innovative design is immediately seeking Senior Project Designers and Project Designers with passion for original design that enhances our environment in our Richmond, Virginia and Charlotte, North Carolina studios.

The selected candidates will work directly with the Director of Design to develop advanced, high quality design ideas for a wide-range of projects including mixed-used, corporate/commercial, sporting arenas, and healthcare. The Senior Designer will also lead and mentor a junior design team.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Architecture, have 7-10 years experience (Senior Designer) or 5-7 year experience (Project Designer), have excellent sketching and modeling skills, and be design rock star. Local candidates preferred but willing to relocate.

With its design studio IMAKE, the firm's projects range from urban design, planning, architecture, and interior design to furniture, products and graphics. At NPA the focus is on the application of design thinking to projects across a range of scales, combining design excellence with technical and management expertise to bring about innovative solutions.

NPA is currently seeking a motivated, organized and creative project architect to join its team. Working directly under the Principals of the firm, the successful candidate would be responsible for the development of design and construction documents from conceptual sketches/ schematic drawings and coordination with consultants including structural, MEP, lighting, AV, etc. The studio environment of the firm presents opportunities to work closely with principals and other members of the team on a wide range of projects both in the US and abroad.

- 4-5 years of experience in all aspects of architectural design/documents and construction administration.
- B Arch degree from a 5 year accredited Architectural Program or an M Arch degree.
- Excellent design and graphic skills.
- Good writing/ communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities required and an interest in managing and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with experience in construction documents/ detailing.
- Knowledge of Revit desirable.
- Autodesk 3Ds Max skills and knowledge of other 3-D modeling & rendering programs desirable.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign.
- Must be a team player with a good attitude and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines when necessary.
