Interior Architect / Interior Designer

Medium-sized architecture firm is seeking an Interior Architect/Interior Designer with excellent design skill and a strong knowledge of architectural design specifically related to interiors. This position will involve all stages of design and construction, with a focus on residential work of all scales. The best candidate will have a demonstrated enthusiasm for environmental stewardship and will be able to capture the vision of our firm.
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years professional experience in an architectural or interior design office.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent.
- Must have experience working on multiple interiors projects: high-end, multi- and single-family residential and/or hospitality experience preferred.
- Knowledge of specifications and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) and architectural/interior finishes.
- Awareness of key design trends, lighting, color, and materials.
- Knowledge of interiors-related building codes and LEED standards.
- Comfort in working independently, demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of high-end clients as well as vendors.
- Experience in construction document preparation and field observation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe CS Suite required; Revit, Rhino, 3DMax, and SketchUp a plus.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills.
