Woodford Architecture + Interiors are looking for a motivated, well-organised, confident Architect with experience of running projects from conception to completion, with good technical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a team.

We are an expanding practice with a wide variety of projects, with work throughout the South West and London.

Your role would be to run projects liaising with clients and consultants where necessary. The successful candidate will work closely alongside our Director, Technician and Interior Designers, in preparing and amending design/working drawings, and assisting various members of the team in the preparation and issue of building surveys, planning applications and detailed technical packages for a wide variety of residential projects.

To be considered the right candidate you will need to have:

- Good technical and detailing skills, knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods within the residential sector.
- Fast, efficient, accurate, CAD draughting (AutoCAD LT).
- Technical skills in working with new and existing buildings.
- The ability to produce clear, concise working drawings and NBS specifications to a consistently high standard.
- The ability to take responsibility, meet project deadlines, to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as your role may require you to liaise with clients/contractors/consultants on a day to day basis. IT literate.
- Proactive in identifying issues or problems.
- Experienced in the submission of planning applications and access statements, liaising with historical consultants, planners and environmental consultants.

This is initially a three month contract position with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

- Must be a team player.
- Understanding of Design and Build projects preferably in Asia.
- Previous experience working in China is a definite advantage.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Power Point, Excel, etc.
