Junior / Intermediate Architect

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Applicants should have a strong desire to contribute, be willing to take on responsibilities, and enjoy having a meaningful role being involved in all aspects of our work. The right candidate should be able to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, consultants, and contractors.

Minimum requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, flexible, and ability to meet project timelines.
- 3D rendering a plus.

Junior Lighting Designer

Hillmann DiBernardo Leiter Castelli Inc. (HDLC Architectural Lighting Design) is one of the most experienced and highly regarded firms in the architectural lighting industry. We are New York-based with Founding Principals who have been in lighting design practice since 1961. The company continues in its tradition of providing architectural lighting design at a high level of design, service, and technical proficiency.

We are a collaborative and pro-active member of the architectural design team that works to integrate visually appropriate, impactful and technical lighting solutions into a project's total design. Our multi-disciplinary background has afforded us to successfully participate in a wide variety of project types from corporate offices to high end retail and residential, from institutions and hospitals to core and shell exterior. On average, our office handles 100+ projects each year. The particular team we are looking to fill a position in handles a great number of projects in corporate interiors and headquarters. We are aggressive in our deliverables and are very results driven.

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, task-oriented, and hardworking individual to join our design team. The candidate is a self-starter and displays initiative in a field they may or may not be familiar with. Previous experience in the lighting design industry is not required, but is preferred. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design and/or Lighting Design, must meet the following requirements:

- Experience in Revit. Must have experience using software on projects and/or in professional office setting. Must understand not only how to model and navigate the software, but also have the initiative to work out solutions when it comes to troubleshooting. Individuals that have worked in Revit in a substantial capacity are heavily preferred.
- Full proficiency in the Adobe Suite, Autodesk CAD, and MS Office.
- Savvy with developing presentation packages; physical modeling skills for presentations and mock-ups also required.
- Be highly-attentive to detail, team-oriented and comfortable with multi-tasking as the candidate will be managed by a few project managers on a variety of projects.
- Must be able to take on extensive responsibility and deliver for tight, frequent deadlines, which also means staying late, post-7pm, on very regular basis.
- Knowledge of AGi is a plus, although not required.
