This position requires thorough knowledge of educational, industrial, commercial and institutional facility design. Candidate should be capable of managing all elements of a project. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients, as well as, collaborate with all other disciplines to create constructible designs. Responsibilities also include typical K-12 business development actions including conferences.

This position will report to the Horseheads Office located in the Finger Lakes Region of the Southern Tier just south of Seneca Lake. Salary commensurate with experience. Lighting Designer

Our International Hospitality Design client is urgently looking for a Lighting Designer to join their fast growing lighting design team. You will have the opportunity to work on fantastic five star hospitality projects. Working closely with the Senior Designer and Interior Design team you will be developing innovative lighting design solutions for high-end hospitality and residential projects. You must have excellent conceptual ability, good technical knowledge and able to handle projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Production of lighting design drawings.
- Produce technical lighting specifications.
- Produce lighting presentation materials for client approval.
- Assist Senior Designers in project management and coordination.
- Participate in project meetings and site monitoring.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufactures.
- Occasional business trip to China may be required.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
- 1 year relevant experience in Architectural Lighting Design preferred.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge in Photoshop, InDesign, and Dialux is an advantage.
