Description: Our Convention Center group is seeking talented, enthusiastic, and technically proficient team members with demonstrated capabilities in the design and production of convention centers. Continued growth within our convention center practice has opened up multiple opportunities for highly qualified, talented architects.
Applicants must possess exceptional design and technical abilities. Architectural registration is preferred. Ideal candidates will have 8-15 years of experience working on convention centers.

Required Skills: There are many skills specific to each of the jobs listed above, but in general here are some skills that we look for in all new Populous employees.
Inventive, creative design thinking, collaborative skill, architectural production, spatial and environmental design ability, story creation, and quality design sensibility is a requisite.
Strong communication skills, team oriented, self-driven work ethic and ability to meet fast paced project demands.
Willingness to travel.
Well-rounded professionals that understand how all the facets of design and delivery combine to ensure a successful project.
Rendering and 3D modeling experience with 3DS Max, SketchUp and Maxwell Render is preferred, as well as proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for design staff.
Experience with Revit is preferred for technical/production positions.
Strong sketching and freehand drawings skills.Ability to create quick sketches to convey/sell an idea is critical for design staff.

27/10/2014Merrell O'Flaherty Dormer Architects is a small, well established architectural practice located in the spa town of Harrogate, undertaking projects throughout Yorkshire and the Dales We are looking for someone to join our team, initially to assist with our expanding workload, but also with a view to making a career within the Practice. Full or part time candidates would be considered at this stage and salary is negotiable.
Our Practice primarily specialises in creating sustainable, contemporary and traditional designs in the private domestic sector. We have a reputation for well designed, high quality projects, which has resulted in repeat commissions and recommendations from our established client base. Many of our projects are located within sensitive areas, including National Parks, AONBs and local conservation areas.
Candidates would ideally be qualified Architects with a minimum of three years post-Part III experience, although applicants will be considered on the relevance of their abilities and skills to the Practice. Applicants need to be motivated and enthusiastic, happy to work independently and as part of a team, have experience in running projects and a practical approach to problem solving. An ability to maximise the design potential in any project is essential. A proficiency in AutoCAD (AutoCAD LT) and an ability to produce freehand drawings is required for both design and construction information.
