Revit literate Architect

With a reputation for outstanding quality in design, project management and client services, this is an opportunity to join an already very successful practice who have plans to triple in size within the next 3 years. A leading expert in sustainability, working on some of the largest, most complex technical projects internationally, is now seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant / newly qualified Architect, to join their 30 large, South Kensington based practice. The company have successfully developed a reputation for design in specialist buildings and various sectors including; hospitals, laboratories, educational buildings and more. Since establishing themselves more than 50 years ago, they have grown to employ in excess of 100 staff and have four lucrative offices worldwide.

Role & Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be brought in specifically to work on detailed plans on a number of live projects they currently have running. These include a University, hospital, student accommodation and laboratory, all of which are large scale. Strong technical knowledge is key for this role and the ability to use Revit is essential. Revit ability should be demonstrated in any work examples sent for this position and should be on a project completed in practice.

Required skills & experience

- A minimum of 2 years UK experience in practice.
- Fluent in Revit and Adobe packages.
- A minimum of 2 years working with Revit.
- Have a strong technical ability.
- Confident in detailing a variety of building types.
- A confident communicator with the ability to lead a small team.
- Excellent liaison skills, particularly with contractors.
- Experience in Healthcare, commercial or educational sectors would be beneficial, but is not essential for this role.

Unfortunately, applicants without Revit, will not be considered for this role.

Interior Designer

Vertical Arts is an architecture, design and planning firm, located in Steamboat Springs, Vail and Denver, Colorado. Our workplace studio is currently seeking an experienced and creative Interior Designer with a successful track record in all types of interiors projects. In this position, you will develop and execute appropriate design solutions as well as have overall project responsibility for client satisfaction, quality control, and financial performance. At Vertical Arts, you will join a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to design excellence. The ideal candidate must be bright, organized, detail-oriented, creative and truly interested in high-end interior design.

Responsibilities will include providing full design services to all residential and commercial clients. The designer will oversee the client’s experience from beginning to end, from design to sourcing and selection to installation. Interior Designer will also assist in the vision for Retail Space. They will collaborate with rest of the team on retail and gallery events.

Compensation will be based upon qualifications and experience.

Experience

- 6-10 years minimum of relevant design experience in interiors.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, 3-D programs, SketchUp and other modeling software programs.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications specifically Illustrator and InDesign.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from accredited school.
- Certification or state licensed is a plus.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials and specifications.
- Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
- Ability to manage all phases of corporate and residential interiors projects, including project set-up, design and construction administration.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate on single or multiple interiors projects, including all phases of design.
- Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
- Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications.
- Provide project team coordination for the plans, specifications, materials.
- Prepare contract documents and work with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
- Review work of consultants for coordination purposes.
- Manage project scheduling, budgets, and agreements with sub-contractors, vendors and consultants.
- Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and samples.
- Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
- Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
