We are currently looking for Senior Architects to join our Shanghai office. The ideal candidates should have effective management and team leadership skills, strong design sensibilities, excellent technical skills, a flexible mentality, and experience managing all stages of a project, from concept through to construction.

Requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of experience, with extensive experience with built international, large-scale projects.
- Extensive coordination experience with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Excellent communication, budget control, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent aesthetic sensibilities and design skills.
- Extremely technical with the ability to resolve architectural solutions through innovative thinking (documented through construction and shop drawings/details).
- Effective project management and team leading abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods, especially in Asia.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a continuous desire to both learn from and mentor others.
- Responsible, accountable, and able to foresee risks and solve conflicts in projects.
- Working knowledge of 3D + 2D software (Rhinoceros, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Fluent English communication skills (reading and writing); fluent Mandarin communication skills (reading and writing) a plus.

Meter (Meterbuilt, Inc) and SO|DA Architects are two architectural firms working both together and separately on projects in the same office in the Arts District of DTLA. Both offices are focused on educational, commercial and residential projects and most of the work is located in Southern California.

We're looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently or on a team. Full-time and part-time applicants will be considered and should have the following qualifications:

- 2-5 years of prior experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and visual).
- A professional degree from an accredited architecture program.
- Experience working on all design phases of an architectural project.
- Revit experience (candidates demonstrating proficiency are preferred).
- Sketchup, Rhino and Autocad; Adobe Suite & Office for graphics, text & spreadsheets.
- Programming & html experience a plus.
- Applicants must reside in Southern California and have access to an automobile, however, the office is surrounded by multiple transit options.
- Compensation is commensurate with skill & experience.
