Our Los Angeles office is seeking an Urban Designer with 5-10 years of experience to join our Region and Town Planning studio in Los Angeles to help lead exciting and diverse projects including mixed-use, residential, TOD, corridor plans, design guidelines, and form-based-codes. A professional degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Landscape Architecture is required. An exciting opportunity for a talented 3D and POS Designer to join a London based household name in the world of contemporary homeware products and a major player in the global retail market. With new ranges launching twice yearly, the company has won multiple awards for their innovative products and trend driven design.

The role requires you to be heavily involved in the merchandising direction of the brand, leading their in-store and exhibition exposure.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating successful and innovative POS, exhibition and visual merchandising designs for both permanent locations, pop-up and seasonal promotions.

The 3D AND Pos Designer role

- Overall Responsibility of retail merchandising, display and promotion, exhibition displays and store fits.
- Responsible for the concepting, design and delivery of all in-store merchandisers including CTU, FSU, permanent and temporary.
- Develop and manage detailed critical paths built from overall trade marketing brief and critical path. Ensure all elements are delivered on schedule and key milestones are met.
- Propose new ideas to evolve seasonal launch merchandisers to ensure the brand remains ahead of the competition.
- Develop launch POS kits to support key launches and existing lines.
- Create planograms based on data analysis and best practice to ensure product is effectively merchandised, categorised and sign-posted in-store and across channels.
- Manage factories and printers to ensure sampling and production dates are met and that all elements are to the brand’s standards of design and quality.
- Manage budget for prototypes and samples ensuring correct process is followed and budget limits are adhered to.
- Develop exhibition displays that ensure the brand creates impact at shows and key season messages are clearly communicated.
- Develop and manage detailed critical paths for each show. Ensure all elements are delivered on schedule and key milestones are met.
- Develop and manage bespoke store fits for key accounts to coincide with seasonal launches and exclusive pop up shops.
- Manage the existing modular merchandiser kits and identify commercially viable new formats to add to the range.
- Propose new ideas to evolve the modular merchandisers.
- Develop a suite of generic modular configuration visualisations.
- Design, artwork and manage the production of all graphics and produce a suite of best-sellers and new season graphics to cover various in-store formats including headers, pillars, posters and wall graphics.
- Regularly visit UK stores and liaise with sales to ensure all store fits and merchandisers remain clean, structurally safe and in good condition.
