JAM Architecture is a growing architecture firm based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our projects range from high-end apartment and townhouse renovations to local restaurants & bars. We are a small firm that can offer an excellent range of experience for someone who is passionate about design and is creative, organized and likes to be involved with all phases of design and construction.

We are seeking a motivated intermediate architect to assist with all phases of work for our residential and commercial renovations. Responsibilities will include field measuring, drafting in all phases of design and construction administration, permitting and working with expeditors & consultants, attending construction meetings and coordinating required follow-up. Applicant must have great communication skills and proficiency with autocad, sketch-up and photoshop. An eye for graphics and an ability to work well in a fast-paced collaborative environment are a plus.

Job pre-requisites:

- Professional architectural degree.
- 3-5 years experience working in NYC.
- Experience with NYC DOB permitting and Landmarks approval processes.
- Experience with high-end residential projects in co-op / condo buildings as well as townhouses.
- Ground up construction knowledge considered a plus.
- Familiarity of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for residential projects.
- Familiarity with construction types found in existing NYC buildings and townhouses.
- Legally authorized to work in the US and fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Currently living in/near NYC.
