Entry Level Designer

Based in Los Angeles and New York, wHY was founded by Kulapat Yantrasast in 2004 and has established itself in the international design vanguard for completing widely-acclaimed projects that serve the arts, communities, and the environment. The 30+ person practice is structured as an “Ecology of Disciplines”—four workshops focusing on ideas, buildings, grounds and objects—to approach projects from multiple angles resulting in holistic, sustainable designs. Much like we like our projects to be unique, our office is also diverse and enjoy a truly collaborative working methodology.

We are looking for Entry Level Designers who have strong design and production skills. Specifically, the expansion of the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, expansion and renovation of a museum in Massachusetts, several gallery/art spaces, private houses and numerous competitions / special projects.

Skills and Credentials:

- Ability to work and multi-task in a design intensive, collaborative environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative-Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD in the work environment.
- Excellent 3D rendering/modeling skills – Rhino / V-Ray.
- Range of physical model making and/or fabrication techniques.
- Immediate availability.

At least one year professional work experience in an architectural office is required, preferably in the US. Entry level positions are salaried, commensurate with relevant experience. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. wHY is an equal opportunity employer.

Junior/ Intermediate Architect

STAT Architecture PC is a small architecture firm based in mid-town NYC focusing on multi-family housing (high end condos to affordable housing). We are growing rapidly and are looking for architect (s) at a junior and intermediate level to join the team immediately.

This position will provide an incredible opportunity to work on the frontlines of the design process from design to construction documents to field visits on several different projects.

Applicants should have

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D Modelling (this is an absolute must), Revit is a plus.
- Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
- Strong written and verbal skills, fluency and grammar the capacity to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously and be Highly Organized.
- Dynamic and motivated recent graduates with the above skills are encouraged to apply.

Intermediate level applicants should have

- Minimum 3-5 years’ professional experience with Bachelor of Architecture Degree.
- Knowledge/Understanding of NYC Building Codes & Standards/ADA and IBC.
- Strong detailing experience and understanding of building material and systems.
- Ability to produce and oversee drawings sets and coordinate the same with engineers.
- Site monitoring experience, submittals, surveys and preparing reports.
- All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
