Our firm is currently seeking an intermediate level project architect for our LA office to support the firm’s continued growth. Our project architects are involved in all design and technical aspects of projects from the schematic design phase through to contract administration and typically oversee the whole process with guidance from a Principal. You will have a leadership role in coordinating the project team, consultants, and the client as well as liaising with authorities having jurisdiction to meet project objectives. Additionally, you will utilize your robust technical knowledge to produce detailed design and project documentation.

You hold a recognized degree in architecture coupled with a minimum of 5+ years of experience with projects of a range of building types, most importantly multi-use hi-rise development. Additionally you are licenced California architect with Leed ap or ACHA credentail preferred. In-depth experience with Revit is essential as well as working knowledge of AutoCad, Sketchup and other design software is considered a plus.

Responsibilities:

The Concept Designer oversees all aspects of the design, coordination and documentation of the project. He / She defines the program requirements based on client scope and develops the schematic design, prepares the architectural documentation and consistently communicates with the client and project consultants. He / She reviews construction documentation through the implementation of design to ensure clarity and quality of concept is maintained through detail level.

Requirements and qualifications:

- Minimum of 7 years recent experience in Hospitality Concept Design.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or related experience.
- Must be passionate about all aspects of design.
- Computer skills including: AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp.
- Must be a team player with an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and service multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work with international clients.
- Exceptional sketching ability required.
