We are currently accepting resumes for a dynamic, creative, highly energetic Senior Interior Designer for our NYC office.

Responsibilities Include:

- Conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination.
- Develop innovative design concepts which are practical, aesthetic, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals and within project budget.
- Render conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
- Coordinate color and material palettes.
- Incorporate integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
- Prepare and conduct client presentations.
- Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
- Run all phases of a project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.
- Support the Construction Administration phase responding to RFIs, COs, and reviews shop drawings.
- Mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff.

Requirements

- Minimum 10-15 years related experience.
- Prior experience in successfully leading corporate / commercial interior project teams and coordinating with project consultants/clients.
- Possess creative talent in conceptual design and rendering skills of either hand or computer sketching.
- Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application.
- Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting and color schemes to carryout design intent.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and other related design software.
- NCIDQ and/or Registered Architects preferred.
- Leed accredited preferred.

A graduate of an accredited Masters or Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design degree program or related combination.

IMC Architecture is a boutique start-up firm looking for a talented individual to help grow our practice. Our work includes ground up and renovation of medium to large scale multi-family residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. Responsibilities will include site surveying, production of design development and construction documents, site meetings, and direct client interaction. Candidates must be self-motivated, reliable and able to manage all aspects of a project.

Candidate Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 1-2 years professional experience in an architectural office.
- Be familiar with NYC codes and zoning.
- Knowledge of construction materials, details and methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
