Woods Bagot is seeking an experienced workplace designer who is ready to join a quickly growing team working on high-profile interiors projects for a range of clients. We are looking for a well-rounded designer with strong conceptual design skills, who has past experience working in a collaborative, creative and resourceful team, with specialized experience in the delivery and construction of workplace interior design projects in the City of San Francisco.
About the role
This is a newly created role in our dynamic and expanding San Francisco studio. This is a unique opportunity for a highly-motivated interior designer seeking career growth and opportunity. The role will report to the Interiors Principal and work collaboratively across the studio on local, regional and global projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Designs innovative architectural concepts in direct response to unique user, programmatic, environmental and cultural contexts.
- Support the Design Principal in developing relationships, and creating project opportunities. Involved in bid responses and interviews and importantly strong track record in client relationships.
- Responsible for the coordination of the project design and project team.
- Confers with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development.
- Guides and encourages the development of other staff.
- Participates in marketing and business development.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a professional degree program.
- Seven or more years of experience and progressive responsibilities in all phases of architecture and substantial experience in the innovative design of complex, small and large-scale workplace projects in the US, San Francisco experience is desired.
- High level skills and experience in conceptual design phases and instigation of projects including high quality design research, sketching, illustration and rendering abilities.
- Expertise AutoCAD and Adobe Suite required; experience in 3D software and programming including Revit, 3DS Max and Rhino 3D is a plus.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, coordination of consultants and costs.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Freeland Rees Roberts Architects are based in central Cambridge and have a great opportunity for a qualified Architect to join their practice.
You will be working in a small team on a mix of exciting projects including Residential and Cambridge College projects using AutoCAD LT. Working at RIBA stage 4 you will need to show detail design skills alongside strong UK experience.
Past experience working on a residential project would be advantageous.
Skills required:
- Good working knowledge of CAD systems, Revit is of interest and Sketchup.
- Up to date working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction methods (traditional through to sustainable construction).
