One Lux Studio is seeking a creative and practical Senior Lighting Designer with strong project management skills to serve as the point of contact for our clients. In this position, you will nurture existing relationships by interacting with clients on a daily basis, making important decisions about project organization and design direction. You will be involved with team of designers in all projects stages from concept to completion. This candidate should have strong communication skills, a sense of design, and be able to think quickly on their feet.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and design the lighting portion of projects by producing a work plan that includes but is not limited to: Lighting Layouts, Lighting Calculations for Daylight and Electric Light, Report Writing, Hand Sketches, Mock-up Reviews, Energy Code Compliance, Fixture Schedules and Specifications.
- Create presentation materials including renderings and graphic packages.
- Provide deliverables that meet required codes and quality assurance standards.
- Develop project cost budgets.
- Meet performance targets.
- Hold lighting project team members accountable for deliverables.
- Periodically act as a QC reviewer on projects.
- Maintain current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.
Education:
A four year degree in Lighting, Theatrical Lighting, Interior Design, Architecture, and Architectural Engineering are preferred.
Mandatory skills:
Proficiency of AutoCAD 2012 and Adobe CS is required; Working knowledge of AGi32, COMcheck, and MS Office; Experience with Rhino, Sketchup and Revit is a plus, excellent organizational and communication skills.
