Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Partner and Senior Partner architects, assist in the planning, design and construction administration of buildings and other structures. As part of the project team, will design, review and advise throughout the design process and the submittals process to create code compliant buildings and structures in China. Coordinate activities relating to the project code requirements. Fulfil the practice’s overall objective in producing first class architecture on time and on budget.
Requirements: Experience in the architect role with specific experience of building and planning code. Formulation and presentation of project design; CAD design software experience, and construction documentation experience. Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Mandarin is essential.

The NYC design studio of SAMOO Architects & Engineers, located in the New York Times Building, is seeking qualified junior/intermediate design architect to join its growing, highly collaborative global practice. Ideal candidates must have an advanced degree in architecture with 3-5 years of experience.
Applicants must demonstrate their commitment to design excellence through recent project examples and must have strong concept/research/graphic presentation skills. Successful candidates must be conceptually creative with the ability to produce and develop multiple project design options. Experience and proficiency in Rhino/3DMax /AutoCAD/Adobe Software is required, and Revit is preferred. This position will demand high level of 3D modeling and rendering capabilities.
