The world’s leading International Hospitality Design Firm is looking for an experienced Senior FF&E Designer to join their Melbourne team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on luxury hotels and resorts across Asia. Creativity is a must; you will be highly imaginative and have the ability to generate new ideas and interpretations. You must be self-motivated and have extensive experience on 5 star hotel projects across China. While you will be based in Melbourne, the majority of your clients will be in China.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading your design team on the development of design concepts.
- Selecting fabric, furniture, fixtures, materials, and artwork.
- Producing Presentations & Moods Boards.
- Preparing FF&E Specifications and Reviewing Shop Drawings.
- Clearly presenting concepts to Clients and Operators.
- Efficiently managing several projects simultaneously.
- Liaising between clients, operators, consultants and suppliers.
- Leading and Educating the team about design practices in China.
Requirements:
- Degree in Interior Design.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
- Ability to follow a project through from concept to completion.
- Excellent at creating concepts from scratch.
- Great presentation and client liaison ability.
- Must be organized, professional and able to work efficiently in with a team.
- Must be self motivated and capable of running projects independently.
- Experience working on 5 Star Hotel projects in China is essential.
- Ability to source materials and products for the China market.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Must be willing to travel.

We are looking to hire a highly motivated and organized individual to assist in construction detailing and project management on multiple commissions. Work ranges from high-end residential to commercial and cultural at varying scales. Temporary position could become long term offer.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with minimum of 2 years as a project architect.
- Highly developed skills in client communications, contract administration, project scheduling and consultant coordination.
- Self-motivated and skilled at managing a project team, multitasking and working toward multiple deadlines in a creative environment.
- AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite proficient, knowledge of 3Ds Max and Rhino preferred.
- Knowledge of NYC code and zoning regulations.
