This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, highly motivated Intermediate Architect to participate in all phases of a project with the Design Principals. Full time position available immediately. The candidate should possess a strong design portfolio, thorough construction documents experience & the tenacity to resolve construction details, as well as the ability to manage 1-2 projects at a time through all phases of design and construction. Experience with high-end/ new-construction/ single-family residences a plus.

Desai Chia Architecture is an award-winning architecture & interior design firm. Our current projects include new homes, high-end residential interiors & creative commercial projects. We are looking for motivated people who want to be involved in all phases of a project, from Concept Design through Construction Administration. Candidates should be interested in applied experimentation with new materials and construction techniques.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor or Masters of Architecture degree.
- A strong design portfolio representing recent projects by the applicant is required; all work to have been produced by applicant.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in Construction Documents & Detailing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal & written).
- Fluency in English (verbal & written).
- Excellent AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills; Rhino and/or 3D Studio Max proficiency. Revit a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Currently residing in the NYC region and legally authorized to work in the US (US citizen or Green Card holder) - we are not able to provide sponsorship.
