Artichoke is currently a small practice specialising mainly in the small to medium private residential sector with the ambition to grow and generate more opportunities to win contemporary exciting larger and new build schemes, which is already starting to happen.

Who we need:
A proficient self motivated architect, technician or designer, who can with a small amount of guidance if necessary, take on the majority of aspects of the day-to-day work with the initiative and have a go at dealing with unfamiliar tasks.
You will need to be able to:
- Interpret the clients brief and with flair, prepare initial broad-brush hand sketch schemes quickly to explore options and refine these to a standard that can be presented to the client.
- Work these schemes into planning drawings and submit the on-line applications.
- Prepare detailed annotated plans & sections for Building regulations approval.
- Take phone calls and communicate clearly in a professional manner.
- Get to and from sites under your own steam.
- Use AutoCAD to prepare precise and well presented drawings.
- Work to time scales for different tasks.
- Write design and Access Statements.
- Prepare Tender Specification documents.
- Oversee contracts & site supervision.
The position:
Available immediately and would initially be for 3-4 days per week, hopefully increasing and with payment initially at an hourly rate to be agreed subject to ability and experience. Ultimately the intention would be for the position to be full time and permanent.

PRDG architecture + design is an architectural firm that specializes in high-end residential design. We are seeking a qualified architectural designer willing to work in a unique creative environment. Starting June 2014, the position offered is part-time with long-term possibility.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an architecture office.
- Experience with project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, and Construction Documents.
- Knowledge of graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS Office Suite.
- Experience with 3D modeling / rendering (3D Max and Vray) a plus.
