Job details include:
- Effectively perform all phases of design process.
- Responsible for working drawings, including hand and computer generated plans, cabinetry and millwork details, lighting and electrical plans.
- Experience with high-end residential construction and ability to communicate with architects, builders and sub-contractors.
- Direct outside consultants and/or vendors as required to develop and implement design projects.
- Prepare and track budgets and review change orders.
- Maintain detailed project files and client project databases.
Must possess:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Integrity and strong work ethic.
- 5 years minimum experience.
- Proficiency in: AutoCAD, Studio IT and Microsoft Office Suite.

Gary Morgenroth Architect LLC is a small detail oriented architectural practice designing individually crafted apartments, houses and retail environments for discerning clients in New York and the Hudson Valley. We have an opening for a Project Architect in our mid-town Manhattan office.
Each project in the office is assigned to a Project Architect who, along with the firm’s Principal, develops the project from Schematic Design through Construction Administration. This structure offers each Project Architect the opportunity to be involved in and to gain experience in all phases of design and construction. Applicants must be interested in taking responsibility for the project’s design, construction detailing, project management, and construction observation with the capability of independently coordinating and managing their projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing schematic design studies and design development documents.
- Producing detailed construction and bid documents.
- Shop drawing review and MEP coordination.
- Construction contract administration including traveling to site meetings.
Required qualifications and experience include:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience.
- Ability to organize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
- Excellent AutoCAD skills and PC computer experience.
- Professional degree in Architecture.
- Reside locally with legal US work status.
