The Architect will be involved in the design development and construction documents/ technical detailing of the building enclosure for high quality civic/ transportation and entertainment venue and other project types. Projects range in scale and construction types, primarily new construction.
Job responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Project Architect and Principal in charge, this strong, technically inclined architect will focus on the building enclosure as a core member of that team, with the potential to become a team leader depending on skill set/level of experience.
- Develop vertical wall and roofing design development drawings for a variety of enclosure types/systems, draw/organize core/shell construction documents & details, follow up/coordinate with consultants, complete shop drawing review and other construction administration tasks.
Key skills:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or related field.
- Minimum 7 to 8 years of relevant project experience.
- Proficiency with Revit is required, as well as - AutoCAD, and other 3d programs/related software desirable.
- Strong technical skills with good design/tectonic sensibility and understanding of building enclosure components/ systems.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience with sustainable design.
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
