Project Architect
07/06/2014Selldorf Architects is an international architecture and interior design firm based in Manhattan. The firm’s portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects, including cultural, institutional, commercial as well as residential. The firm is currently seeking Project Architects for full time employment.
This position requires fully competent professional architect who will perform architectural design, design development and construction documents for projects involving construction of new buildings and the alteration of existing buildings and facilities. This position is responsible for coordinating architectural and consultant work for entire projects preparation of specifications and construction administration. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 6 to 8 years architectural related experience.
- Architectural License desired.
- Must have solid conceptual and design process skills and good problem solving abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes and building systems.
- AutoCAD proficiency required. Experience using 3D modeling programs including Rhino desirable.
- Experience working with the NYC DoB required.
- Experience working on residential desired including apartments, townhouses, houses and condominium buildings.
- Supervisory and management skills required.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

The Creative Design Center owns INS and WTOS scheme design studio, urban planning and planning working group, Grasshopper (parametric design) working group. The working fields cover all kinds of architectural design, business planning, prophase planning consultation, etc. The cases include urban planning, hotel, office building, large-scale commercial complex, antique building group, tourism real estate planning, high-end residence, private custom building and other types.
In addition, the Creative Design Center puts special research into the architectural academy and gains many scientific research subject results and actual projects, especially in hill-side architecture design, humanistic and historic buildings and large-scale commercial complex.
Two international architects are wanted.
- European or American who owns bachelor degree or above of architecture or urban planning at the age of twenty-six or above.
- The candidate who owns excellent design and creation ability and four-year or above design experience.
- The candidate should be good at communication, expression and team work, for specially, relatively familiar with national condition of China.
- The candidate who has independently been charge of two projects or above ranging from China's domestic scheme to broadened preliminary design is preferred.
- With the knowledge of Parametric Design are preferred.
