Design Architect
16/05/2015Due to our ongoing success and continued desire to grow the business we now have an exciting opportunity for a Design Architect (part 3) to join our professional and dynamic internal architects practice.

Our expert and detailed understanding of planning, construction and market issues helps us make the very best use of every land development opportunity. Our in-house architects practice creates a dynamic partnership between commercial acumen and design to unlock the hidden value in land. Together with experience of resolving planning, technical and legal problems, Goldcrest's disciplined procedures have enabled it to evolve to become a 'land development enterprise', with the flexibility to react quickly to movements in the market and local planning regimes.
The role:
Reporting to the Design Director, and as a member of our internal architects practice, you will be responsible for feasibility design and planning applications of innovative and viable development schemes for a range of exciting and challenging projects. Involved in both pre- and post-acquisition matters this role offers the opportunity to add real commercial value by innovative design whilst also allowing you to shape how the practice presents its work.
Qualified to diploma level, you will be Riba / ARB (or equivalent) with at least 8 years' post part 3 qualification experience. You will possess excellent presentation skills in all areas ie CAD, 3-D visualisation, traditional model making and freehand drawing work. Experience of Revit, 3-D model printing and/or augmented reality would be advantageous. With up-to-date knowledge of central government planning policy, you will also possess good working knowledge of Building Regulations and familiarity with all planning standards. A real team player you will have good commercial acumen and a desire to add value to the development process.

Requirements:
- Degree in Interior Design / Architecture.
- Strong conceptual design skills.
- Excellent experience in high end and residential projects.
- Excellent skills in AutoCAD 2D, Sketchup, In Design / Photoshop, MS-Office and other relevant design software, including 3D software programs.
- Fluent written and spoken English and excellent presentation skills.
- Experience in interior detailing and specification documentation.
- Have team spirit, work independently and under pressure within tight deadlines.
- Creative concept development, arrangement planning and communication skills.
