We are looking for an Interior Designer, with 5+ years experience and a sincere passion for sustainable design, to join our team. This position is integrated into the project team from the beginning of the project, with involvement in programming and schematic design through construction administration. Responsibilities include conceptual design, space planning, material research and finish selection, furniture and casework design, production of construction documents, and administration of the project through construction phases. The successful candidate will have, in addition to a superior aesthetic sensibility, strong technical proficiency in Revit, a knowledge of interior detailing and specification writing, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to function successfully in a collaborative work environment is required. Familiarity with sustainable practices, knowledge of applicable building codes, and the ability to coordinate work with multiple disciplines are preferred assets, as are Leed accreditation and NCIDQ certification. You should also bring to the job a good sense of humor, a desire for learning, willingness to push the boundaries of convention in problem solving, and have polished client presentation skills.

The Lawrence Group is a national architecture firm with offices in 4 US cities, with a total staff of about 150 people. The New York Office is seeking candidates for an intermediate architect position starting immediately. The office is a boutique design office with around 12 architects and designers.
Project involvement may include working on national retail design and roll-out, hospitality work or other building renovations in Manhattan and across the country.
Candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 5-7 years professional experience in an architectural office.
- Excellent design and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent digital presentation skills, preferably including Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of construction materials, details, methods and standard building codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a minimum requirement; the firm has fully implemented Revit on all new projects.
