The ideal candidate will have 3 years work experience in a firm setting with a strong, creative design portfolio showing processes and presentation abilities, conceptualizing, diagramming, space planning and design. Strong graphic, written as well as verbal communication is a must. The individuals should be high energy, self-motivated and team oriented individuals able to collaborate or lead colleagues in high energy project situations. Sustainable / high Performance experience is a plus to round out this candidate.

Applicants must be proficient in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Maxwell and Adobe Creative Suite. Grasshopper, environmental simulation analysis tools, and digital fabrication methods are valuable but not required.

Applicants should also be strong in the knowledge of colors and materials research and specifications is required.

Registration / Accreditation: Leed, IDP application is recommended.

Education: Minimum of Bachelor of Architecture Degree, Bachelor of Sciences in Architecture.

Farm design llc is looking for a Landscape architect or Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2- 5 years experience working on diverse projects. Farm design llc. is a landscape design firm based in Wainscott, NY, founded by Abby Lawless. We provide design services for diverse array of projects, from city rooftops, to residential estates. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves being actively involved with all aspects of landscape design. We love being outdoors and on site. This is a beautiful area to live, work and play.

Skills:

- Experience in all aspects of landscape design services from schematic design through Construction observation.
- Experience preparing construction documents, specifications, and presentation packages.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with consultants and Architects.
- Experience with all aspects of budgeting.
- A strong familiarity and understanding of building and environmental codes.
- Experience with all aspects of rooftop work- or training will be provided.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines.
- Computer proficiency: Excel, Auto cad, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch up or other 3D software.(We are a Mac office).
- Responsible, hard working, self motivated, and detail oriented.
- A great aesthetic and love for the outdoors.

Education: Degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.

Travel required: Yes but usually day trips.
