Senior Architect
26/06/2015OPEN Architecture is an international team of architects and designers, with collaborators across different disciplines to practice urbanism, architecture, interior and the production of strategies in the context of new challenges of our time. OPEN was founded by Li Hu and Huang Wenjing in New York City. It established the Beijing office in 2006. Some of the built or ongoing projects by OPEN include: Columbia University GSAPPs Studio-X Beijing, Gehua Youth and Cultural Center, Prototype for Reusable Temporary Pavilion, Beijing No.4 High School Fangshan Campus, Staff’s Dormitory of Fuzhou NetDragon Company, Ocean Center of Tsinghua University Graduate School, Pingshan Performing Arts Center, Shanghai West Bund Oil Tank Art Center and Wuhan Skyline Mixed Use Development. OPEN was recognized by many architectural awards for its progressing work, including World Architecture’s Chinese Architecture Award 2012 and 2014, China Architecture Media Awards 2012, Asia Pacific Interior Design Awards 2013, Re-thinking the Future Awards 2014, London Design Museum’s Designs of the Year 2015 Nomination, and most recently, Merit Award of 2015 AIANY Design Awards.
Requirements:
- Professional degree in Architecture or related fields.
- Five years and plus of solid working experiences in internationally renowned offices. Having gone through all phases of design work for medium or large-scale public projects.
- Good design sensitivity, sound technical knowledge, keen attention to details. Specialization in curtain wall design and detailing is highly preferred.
- Very proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino and other work related software.
- Good work ethics and strong sense of responsibility. Good inter-personal skills to be able to effectively lead the design teams.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese will be highly preferred.

Lavallee Brensinger Architects is a 60 person architectural firm specializing in the planning and design of Healthcare, Education, Corporate, and Civic projects throughout the Northeast with offices in Charlestown MA and Manchester NH. We are a firm whose energies are dedicated to infusing each project with creativity and quality execution with a unique focus on client service and building long-term relationships. We seek an innovative thinker with strong design, graphic, and communication skills who will embrace the opportunity to leverage our collective experience into superior designs with a commitment to sustainability.
Requirements:
- Architectural registration a plus.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Leed ap a plus.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Ideal candidate has 10 plus years experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have a comprehensive portfolio with a range of projects, and those with a successful track record in a similar role on projects in the $1M to $100M range.
