James Merrell Architects is a high-end custom residential firm based in the Hamptons, 90 miles east of Manhattan. We seek talented designers excited to relocate to a beach community with a history of progressive architecture. We are interested in hiring goal-oriented designers interested in all aspects of the discipline. Since we’re a small firm, ideal candidates should be self-motivated to handle a tremendous amount of individual responsibility while also being comfortable communicating thoughtful concepts and ideas as part of a collaborative studio.

Preference is given to individuals who demonstrate the following:

- Exceptional written and graphic communication skills.
- Conceptual clarity.
- Construction sensibility.
- Critical freehand sketching ability.
- Interest in small-scale projects and detailing.

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years work experience in all phases of design (SD through CA).
- Confidence in residential wood frame construction.
- B.Arch or M.Arch degree is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Suite (Revit a plus).
- Currently residing in the United States.

Blair + Mui Dowd Architects, PC (bmdarch.net) is seeking a junior architect with 2+ years experience in commercial and/or institutional design to join its staff. Healthcare, laboratory, and education experience a plus.

The candidate will work with a team on a range of projects from master planning to complex healthcare and laboratory projects for nationally recognized Institutions.

Ideal candidates will have:

- BArch or MArch degree from an Accredited Architecture program or foreign equivalent.
- 2+ years experience in all phases of design and construction.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Graphic skills and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, sketching.
- Leed Accreditation a plus.
- Legal working status in the U.S.
