Experience required:

- A professional architectural degree is required.
- Strong design talent with 7+ years professional experience in a recognized firm.
- Competency in all conventional aspects of architecture.
- Proven ability to create designs and plans for all project phases, including coordinating design consultants and monitoring drawings.
- Experience with projects that require the evaluation, selection, and adaptation / modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Ability to work within a team structure, leading the design in the execution of formally and materially innovative architecture.
- Experience in decision making on design problems and methods. Experience in executing tasks requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
- Required: Strong skills in Revit, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with modeling tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters.
- Desirable: Experience with Autocad, Parametric Modeling [Grasshopper] and Maya. Computer rendering experience with VRay or Maxwell.
- Good interpersonal and communications capabilities.
- Ability to work with and elevate younger staff members.
- Strong, positive references.

BHP Harwood LLP is looking for a talented and motivated Project Architect or Part II Architectural Assistant with 3-5 years experience, to join the team in our Wantage studio initially on a six month fixed contract. The successful candidate must be Proficient in AutoCAD, InDesign and SketchUp.

The position would suit an individual with strong conceptual design and presentation skills, combined with excellent organisational and technical ability to run projects through to completion.

We are keen to hear from candidates with particular experience in the residential sector, running projects from initial feasibility studies through to determination of planning applications as well as turn-key packages.

Our busy Wantage studio is a friendly environment working through a diverse range of predominantly residential projects.

As the role will include working directly with Clients, attending meetings throughout the South East and some travel between our offices, a valid driving license and transport are essential.
