Interior Designer
23/07/2015Ken Fulk Inc. is seeking Interior Designers with 5-10 years professional experience to work in a design and project management position.
What the fulk?
Like a magician pulling a white rabbit from a top hat, Ken Fulk is a master of surprise and his eponymous firm is no different. Ken Fulk Inc. is a creative think tank specializing in multi- disciplinary design that extends far beyond residential and commercial buildings, with a scope that encompasses special events, architecture, branding and graphic design. We create magical and memorable experiences for our clients, whether that's one night or an environment to last for years.
We are looking for creative individuals with strong design skills and experience, who enjoy working closely with a dynamic and passionate design team. The ideal applicant should be familiar with our recently completed projects, which portray our specific design ethos and techniques. Project types include high-end residential and commercial including hospitality, hotel & restaurant interiors.
The position involves contributing to the production and coordination of projects from design concept through completion of installation. Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe CS and demonstrate a strong ability in the following:
- Project management.
- Materials sourcing and specification.
- Furniture sourcing.
- Custom furniture design.
- Graphics and visual presentation.
- Specification writing.
- Visual Research.
- Hospitality experience is a plus.
Applicant should be organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Strong verbal and written communications skills, time management and the ability to multi-task will be required.
Position is full time, compensation based on experience. KFI offers medical insurance stipend, sick and vacation days.

Senior Landscape Designer
23/07/2015Marmol Radziner is seeking a candidate with 8+ years of experience in Landscape Architectural design. This individual will assume responsibility for design leadership of all projects in the Landscape Studio, developing schematic designs and leading project staff through design development and construction document phases, to project completion.
Marmol Radziner is a multi-disciplinary, design-build firm, with design services ranging from Landscape Architecture, Interiors, Architecture, Furniture Design, and Jewelry. We also have a custom cabinetry and metal shop, and provide the full range of Landscape and General Contracting services. The candidate should be comfortable working in a collaborative studio environment.
Skills required:
- A degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited University program.
- A working knowledge of California native, Mediterranean and desert plant palettes.
- Proven design leadership in a practice, including experience managing/mentoring junior staff.
- Experience designing high-end residential projects.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to clearly communicate design solutions to clients in a comprehensive manner and to maintain a strong client relationship throughout a project’s duration.
- Maintain office design standards and continue to develop innovative design solutions for a range of project types and programs.
- The ability to work in a fast paced, rigorous work environment and juggle multiple projects at once.
- Strong graphic skills are required. Hand sketching ability is highly desirable as well as a working knowledge of Adobe In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Candidates must be experienced in AutoCAD, and Revit is a plus but not required. Experience in Construction Documentation is required.
- Professional registration in California is preferred.
