Houseplans Studio is a young San Francisco and Sonoma, CA residential architecture firm with a substantial portfolio of completed homes in northern California and a growing body of work across the US.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, licensed CA architect with an interest in designing homes in the modern farmhouse style and a desire to grow a significant national architecture firm. In this position you will have the opportunity to take a strong backlog of contracted new-home design projects and to work with houseplans.com to grow our custom architecture practice.
As Lead Architect you will be responsible for all aspects of the architectural process from conceptual design through construction supervision including:
- Create conceptual designs for clients locally and remotely.
- Generate drawings, models and images related to the design.
- Work with our rendering team to generate photo-realistic renderings.
- Lead and co-ordinate a team of architects and designers around the country.
- Generate working drawings in coordination with internal and external drafting resources using AutoCAD and / or Revit.
- Manage plan approvals and permitting for projects in Northern California.
- Work closely with contractors and clients as needed.
Requirements:
- BA Arch, BArch, or MA in architecture.
- 3+ years of experience in residential architecture.
- CA license.
- A passion for designing in the modern farmhouse style.
