Award-winning arch/design firm in Bethesda, MD has immediate opening for Architects w / at least 3 years of practical and relevant restaurant/retail experience. Excellent design, graphic and verbal presentation skills are essential to this position. Will be working w / teams to produce quality design drawings & CD’s. Must be familiar w /all phases of the design & construction process. Only candidates with these specific skills & experience need apply.

Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup.

Knowledge of building codes, and jurisdictional processes and must be comfortable producing clear and concise CD’s with technical specs of a high professional standard.

Knowledge of building materials, specs & construction techniques is preferred.

Professional Degree in architecture required.

Robinson + Grisaru Architecture is a small Dumbo-based architecture firm specializing in residential projects and commercial interiors in the New York region. We provide our clients comprehensive, professional services and offer our staff the opportunity to learn a full range of architectural skills in an interactive environment.

We are seeking to interview candidates with the following qualifications:

- A desire to work in a small, (5 to 7 person), office.
- Prior experience working independently as well as in a supervised environment.
- Professional degree and strong academic history.
- Prior experience with Revit, (see below), and skill with learning new software.
- Currently residing in NYC area and available for full-time employment.
- Legal authorization to work in the US.

Robinson + Grisaru Architecture PC is an all-Revit firm and position requires prior experience with Revit and an interest / desire to become proficient in the software. Firm principal and current staff will provide some guidance, but individual should be motivated to develop their own expertise in advanced Revit features through exploration of the software and readily available online tools, forums, etc.

All applicants should include in their cover email a brief explanation of their Revit experience. I.e. whether school-based, work-based, self-taught, professionally trained, etc. Applicants with clearly demonstrated skills in areas such as project set-up, implementation of templates and project standards, and creation of parametric families, will be contacted first.
