Intermediate Interior Designer
22/09/2015Povero & Company is seeking an intermediate interior designer to start immediately. The candidate will work with a senior designer and the principle on various projects including private residences and developments. This position has growth potential and is a great opportunity to be involved in every aspect and step of the design process in a boutique firm. Our ideal team member has the following qualifications:
- Interior Design degree.
- 5 years of professional experience in the field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe and Microsoft Suites. Sketchup is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Good knowledge of the NYC design market and vendors.
- Proactive with good verbal and written communication skills.
Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing presentations for client meetings.
- Communicating with clients, vendors, consultants and contractors on a daily basis.
- Attending meetings and taking detailed meeting minutes.
- Sourcing, pricing and purchasing FF&E.
- Managing schedules and budgets.
- Production of design and construction documents.
- Assisting with overseeing intern and overall office organization.
- Liaising with bookkeeper on client billing.
