Skills / experience:

- Riba or ARB registered Architect with experience of working within the United Kingdom.

- Experience of working directly with the client, contractor and design team, with a good knowledge of current housing guidelines and how to apply them!

McMahon-Baek is a small firm established in 2014 working in high-end residential design. The office, located in Gowanus, Brooklyn, also has a small studio with 3D printing, woodworking, and ceramics capabilities for developing independent projects by McMahon-Baek.

We are seeking a Junior Designer to work in their design studio located in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working in a collaborative office environment.
- Demonstrated ability to produce documentation for built projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and self-monitor progress in order to meet expectations.
- Professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, at least one 3D modeling program, at least one 3D rendering/visualization program, and Adobe products as part of the design and documentation process.
- Structural and detail design experience a plus.
- US work authorization required.
