We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are talented level 1 or 2 designers with strong communication and design skills. Ideal candidate will be a well-spoken, organized individual capable of multi-tasking. Applicants should be thorough and detail-oriented, with ability to oversee multiple short- and long-term tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

- Graduated with M.Arch.
- Demonstrated introductory leve­l of knowledge and abilities in documentation, design, technology, and architectural history.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Vray Rendering programs, as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.
- Proficiency in other 3D modeling and rendering programs desired.

Summary:

- Performs work on basic defined segments of a project, under continuous interaction with supervisor.
- Contributes to general preparation of design and construction documents and models.
- Exhibits understanding of basic building materials, details, and construction techniques, along with general project design philosophy relating to assigned work.
- Performs basic documentation and presentation work, including details.

Diller Scofidio + Renfro is an interdisciplinary design studio that integrates architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts. Based in New York City, Diller Scofidio + Renfro is led by three partners who work collaboratively with a staff of 100 architects, artists and administrators.

Diller Scofidio + Renfro is seeking experienced Mandarin speaking intermediate design leaders to support significant architectural projects. Candidates will have the following qualifications:

- Professional Degree, Master’s Preferred.
- 6-12 years experience in Architectural Practice, Registered Architects preferred.
- Fluency (written and spoken) in Mandarin and English.
- Previous work on internationally significant buildings, with previous work in China a plus.
- Strong Skills In Conceptual Design, Building Planning, Detailing, and Presentation.
- Focus on Institutional Buildings, particularly Museum, Performing Arts, and Education types.
- Previous Full Construction Phase Experience.
- Demonstrated Leadership of Design Competitions Skills in 3Dmax and/or Rhino.
- Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel to China.
