Baskervill has an immediate opening for a Project Architect on our Health Care Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversight of all phases of small to medium projects and / or specialized portions of a large / complex project; heavy emphasis on developing strong designs, preparing sketches and renderings; execution, coordination and oversight of design, design development, design presentation and construction documents; effectively interacting with clients, consultants and contractors regarding technical and design issues; awareness and adherence to budget and client standards; supervising / coordinating the work of others assigned to projects as required; maintaining quality control by utilizing established tools for standards and review and assist in marketing of the firm's services.

Masters / Bachelors of Architecture, licensure preferred, 7+ years experience in commercial architecture (at least 5 in Health Care). Excellent communication skills in creative and thorough design solutions; proficiency in Revit, ACAD, Sketch-up, and Microsoft Office required. Proven ability to lead/mentor a diverse team of junior designers.

Job description:

We have an opening for someone with strong construction documents and design abilities able to take on multiple facets of a project. Interface with clients from time to time, good personal presentation skills are a plus. Our firm is small and that means the candidate will have an opportunity to engage in many aspects of a project. Travel may be required to various project sites throughout the northeast states.

Skills:

- Must be able to detail buildings in depth.
- Capable of putting together a full set of construction documents.
- Able to layout out floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections and building details for a variety of building types and technologies.
- Presentation drawing skills with software or freehand a big plus.
- Able to refine design ideas and follow through with construction documents.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- We use Vectorworks on a PC, and take advantage of its BIM capabilities.
- We also use Adobe suite, Microsoft Suite, SketchUp and other visualization software.
