We are currently seeking intermediate level architects and designers to join our rapidly expanding team. Successful candidates will be self starters with an excellent sense of design. Other qualifications include:

- BArch degree or similar is required.
- Minimum 5 years residential design experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Knowledge of Vectorworks is a plus but not required.

Dufner Heighes is an architecture and Interior Design firm based in New York on the Lower East Side. We are seeking a full-time, self-motivated junior architect to join our small office. Responsibilities will include design, drafting and coordination of drawings in all phases of residential projects, and producing 3D images using Sketchup of interiors and exteriors. We are a Mac based office. You must be fluent with Vectorworks. This is a great opportunity for experience, growth and exposure to all aspects of our high end architectural and interiors practice. Dufner Heighes is a small office so you will be working directly with one of the partners. You will be considered for a full-time position after a three-month introductory period. Salary is commensurate with experience. License is not required.

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of full-time employment in a NYC architecture or interior design firm.
- Ability to work independently on all design phases.
- Knowledge of high-end construction methods and materials.
- Ability to work with and coordinate consultant’s drawings.
- High-level proficiency with the Mac environment,
- Vectorworks, Sketchup, and MS Office.
- Strong graphic, written, verbal communication and organizational skills required.
