Winkelman Architecture is a small, widely published, residential architecture firm located on Portland Maine's working waterfront. We are a highly collaborative environment, conversing design and detail with each other, clients, builders and consultants.

We are seeking a project architect with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the profession. 2+ of those years should be while engaged in high-end residential work.

The candidate will be expected to independently 'own' several projects of varying scales at once, design through CA, including all levels of client interaction. Experience producing fastidiously detailed and thorough production drawings for custom, high-end residential design is required. Confidence sketching is ideal. Working in CAD and 3d modeling software is expected (regardless of what software it is). We use ArchiCAD and SketchUp, but those can be learned. A work history that includes hands-on experience in construction or cabinetry/millwork is a plus. The position is available immediately.
