- 4+ years of professional experience, preferably with experience in single family residential design.
- Strong design background with good technical and detailing skills.
- Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino.
- Legally able to work in the United States.
- Salary commensurate with experience.

Kovac Design Studio seeks a talented and experienced Project Designer to lead individual projects and to help shape the firm’s overall design efforts. The ideal candidate must have excellent design skills, an understanding of detailing, building codes, building systems, and be a confident communicator, both in written, verbal, and drawing form. We are looking for a motivated and enterprising self starter, able, and confident to work independently and to lead teams.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the design of significant projects.
- Interact with clients, staff & design consultants.
- Assist in shaping firm design culture by critiquing projects, researching new materials, and details.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Professional degree in Architecture or Environmental Design.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Significant and accomplished design work.
- Ability to communicate visually through sketches, 3D software, and rendering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup (Revit knowledge a plus).
- Skills in VRay, Rhino, Adobe Suite a plus.
- Excellent writing, and communication skills, articulate.
