They are growing and have a studio of around ten to fifteen designers and Artworkers, have a great studio environment and talented design team.

They have some very impressive clients in the finance and insurance sectors and a growing digital offering. This role will be support the design director who is an exceptionally talented creative. He is looking for the right candidate to fit into his hard working very ambitious studio. The right applicant will come from a corporate communications design background, be a great communicator and have a stunning portfolio or top flight work. Also they are very keen to give ownership to the suitable senior of their own projects, you must be a passionate, team player capable running and presenting your own ideas and final projects.

We are seeking senior architects with a minimum of 7-10 + years’ experience in major international architecture firms who have participated in and completed large-scale projects. Experience with residential and commercial high-rises is highly preferred. The senior architect position will be based in MAD’s newly established New York office, so you will be a founding team member. Our current projects include high-rises, mixed-use developments and cultural projects in North America, Europe, and China. The ideal candidate should also be extremely professional, possess strong communication skills, be comfortable attending new client meetings, and be experienced in execution phases, especially in DD and CD.

Requirements:

- Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture.
- Have minimum 7 years of experience, especially those that have participated and completed large scale projects at top tier international design firms.
- Experience with high-rises – residential, hospitality, and commercial. Experience in NY is preferred.
- Has expertise in AutoCAD, Rhino, Maxwell, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Be a strong leader, able to direct and coach design teams well to ensure overall design quality, scheduling, and execution. Able to supervise junior architects’ performance and deliver proper guidance for their career path and learning curve within the MAD office.

Responsibilities:

- Drawing and model production as well as supervising rest of the design team’s production.
- Communicate work details in every step of construction, including detailed documentation phases and extensive materials knowledge.
- Work closely with executive architects and consultants to preserve MAD design intent through DD, CD, CA.
- Keep up with the fast paced work environment and deal with obstacles and tight deadlines with a positive attitude. The candidate should also be positive and out-going, strong communicator and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks when he/she is required to do so.
- Strong communicator that has project management experience and could communicate with clients and other partners. Has general oversight and management on several projects that he/she is overseeing.
