We are seeking a Project Architect with 8+ years of experience who has an aptitude for problem solving and the desire for a leadership role in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.

To be considered, the preferred candidate should have demonstrated abilities to:

- Develop design concepts through construction documents.
- Work independently and efficiently to continually advance a project.
- Coordinate and lead the work of other team members and project consultants.
- Write and speak clearly and effectively.
- Work efficiently on multiple projects.
- Knowledgeably research zoning and building code regulations.
- Work on AutoCAD and be knowledgeable about Revit.
- Participate in Proposal development and Business Development activities.

The preferred candidate will be a Registered Architect, with Leed Accreditation and Revit familiarity.

SMS Architects is currently looking for a Senior Architectural Project Designer. The candidate will be a creative leader for our firm and must exhibit strong organizational skills and be accustomed to working in a team environment with demanding schedules and deadlines. He / She must be strong in generating design concepts, collaborating with clients, and be self-motivated. He / She will be involved with both design and project production and must have the ability to sketch and prepare design presentation documents using various computer programs.

Qualifications / skills:

- Degree in Architectural Field.
- 10 years minimum of experience.
- Licensed Architect preferred but not required.
- High Proficiency in SketchUp, 3D Rendering, Adobe.
- Creative Suite, Revit, and AutoCAD.
