We have an immediate opening for a Junior Architect to join our design department on a number of award winning projects.
D'Asign Source is a family owned turn-key, custom residential design/build firm. D'Asign Source offers full-service architecture, construction, interior design, landscaping, automation, furniture & fixtures, finishes for new construction and renovations. With over 50 professionals on staff, our in-house team completes every idea, item and installation.
The ideal candidate is an Architectural professional who possesses a history of achievement in quality projects and possesses the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited school. Have an IDP record started and be on the path to licensure.
- 1-3 years experience in an office environment.
- Proficiency in Revit, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and Windows based systems.
- Prepare development drawings and construction documents drawings from instruction and sketches.
- Ability to hand sketch ideas and concepts preferred.
- Attend client meetings to observe the overall process and develop presentation skills.
- Participate in construction site visits to better understand the construction process.
- Knowledge of the LEED, green building design or construction industry helpful.
- Take responsibility for specific parts of drawings to be included in full package. Propose solutions to design problems.
- Understand and responds to the technical implication of design decisions.
- Be proactive and have a high level of personal initiative.
- May perform such other duties as may from time to time be necessary.
Responsibilities will include programming, design, analysis, and documentation of high-performance mixed use, institutional, urban agriculture, and housing projects at all stages of design and construction. Candidate should have:
- Minimum 3, preferably 5+ years experience with complex projects and construction administration.
- Significant construction administration experience.
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for environmental principles.
- Desirable (but not required): proficiency with BIM workflows - VectorWorks and/or Revit, knowledge of Passive House, LEED Certification, experience with energy/daylighting analysis.
