Senior Architectural Designer / Project Architect
28/03/2015SBLM Architects is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer / Project Architect for our New York City Office located in Hell’s Kitchen.
Ideal candidate must possess a strong design aesthetic that can be applied to a variety of project types including retail, commercial, health-care and residential. They must exhibit a passion for design as well as strong creativity. They must have the ability to develop ideas from concept design to construction details.
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate would have 5-9 Years of Professional Experience.
- Arch or M. Arch is required.
- Strong Conceptual and Schematic Design Skills.
- Previous experience working on complex projects in all phases of design.
- Skillful planning and adeptness at applying code requirements.
- Expert level proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, and one Modeling/ Rendering program required.
- Proficiency with InDesign, Illustrator, 3DMax, Sketch-Up, Rhino, Revit, and hand-drawing skill desired.
- Proficiency in preparing construction documents and specifications.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Defines program requirements and establishes design parameters based on client requirements.
- Creates and develops overall design concepts, formulates design presentation.
- Strategies and makes presentations.
- Manages design process for entire project, leads/directs the work of other designers and technical staff.
- Manages design team members during the implementation of design to ensure the clarity and quality of concept is maintained through detail level.
- Manages client interaction and decision making related to design.
- Monitors project budget and schedule related to design team efforts.
