Manhattan based Design and Build firm is seeking an Architectural Designer with 4-5 years of post-graduate experience to join our expanding Design Department. Candidate must hold a professional degree and must demonstrate competence in all phases of high end residential design including, but not limited to, familiarity with plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, the ability to manage project consultants, and the ability to generate thoughtful, build-able details. Knowledge of sources and showrooms for materials and fixtures in NYC is a plus.

Impeccable AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (In Design / Photoshop / Illustrator) skills required. Construction project management experience and/or experience in retail/hospitality design a plus.

Quartet Architecture is a small but solid residential practice with a strong focus on high quality design.

Due to an expanding work load we are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious project architect with a minimum of 2 years post part III experience. The position would suit an ambitious person who wants to further their career.

Applicants should be able to demonstrable design and communication skills with a proven track record. The position requires:

- 2 years experience post part III.
- Excellent design and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, orally and written experience in negotiating planning applications, especially with Listed Building and those within Conservation Areas experience in contract administration with the ability to run projects on site.
- Experience in high end, one off residential refurbishment and new build.
- Experience using ArchicCAD or a willingness to learn a new CAD/BIM system.
- A full UK driving licence.
