Job description:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD drawings (knowledge of 3D not required but is a plus).
- Furniture detailing.
- Coordination with vendors.
- Site visits.
- Market visits for material procurement.
- Client dealing.
- Preparation of BOQs & other documents.

Mary Delaney Interior Design is a prominent small interior design practice located in Union Square. The firm specializes in the creation of high-end residential interiors for clients in the New York metropolitan area as well as other locations. The firm is currently seeking an Interior Designer for full-time employment.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of furniture plans, sections and interior elevations.
- Sourcing furniture, accessories, lighting and artwork.
- Materials research and specification.
- Preparation of design presentations and proposals.
- Creation of detailed specifications for made-to-order furniture, lighting, textiles and finishes.
- Management of the procurement process from research through order processing, tracking and installation.
- Preparation of finish, plumbing, hardware, lighting and appliance schedules.
Requirements:
- 3 -5 years of experience working in an interior design or architectural office.
- Degree in an accredited Interior Design or Architecture program.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Word, Excel.
- Free hand sketching a must.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and with others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to prioritize tasks among multiple projects and deadlines.
- Residence – must be currently living in the New York City area and legally able to work in the United States.
