24/03/2015An interesting opportunity has arisen to contribute to the future of an established Partnership. We are a Chartered Practice based in East Kent and are inviting an ARB Registered Architect with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience to apply for the vacancy.
Our offices in a converted Dairy are situated in a rural location close to road links to the M2, M20 and M25. Applicants should have their own car and preferably a driving licence without blemish.
We have a variety of domestic projects, medium sized residential for private developers and regional/national house builders, extensions for home owners, schools and churches.
You will be expected to become an integral part of a small team under the guidance of the Partners and your duties will include mentoring the RIBA Students who have chosen to work in the Practice.
You should have an improving standard of construction knowledge and be proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Photoshop.

Project Architect
24/03/2015Bessolo Design Group, an Architectural Design firm in St. Petersburg, FL is expanding and seeks Project Architect. Plan and supervise the overall preparation of design development and construction documents for each project according to design policies, procedures and standards. Establishes the design/analysis parameters together with the Project Manager. Is responsible for the quality control of the design/analysis function and discipline. Plans and supervises overall preparation of: Calculations, equipment selections, drawings, coordination with other disciplines, code research, site surveys, system and design concepts, and provides guidance to other members of the technical team for all projects with strong emphasis on Senior Living Facilities, Health Care, Multi-Family, Retail and Community projects.
Candidate will be responsible for these main areas: Duties will include, but not limited to:
Duties:
- Prepares design development and construction drawings for new or modified structures.
- Oversees technical drafters, coordinating work, schedules and deliverables.
- Responsible for using AutoCAD and Revit software for layout diagrams, schematics and construction documents.
Qualifications:
- Min 5 years architectural experience.
- Min of 2 years Job Captain level.
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD (3 – 5 years of experience) Revit experience a plus.
- Experience in coordination with engineering disciplines.
- Experience with building systems and methods of building construction.
- Experienced in producing AutoCAD and Revit drawings for:
- Schematic Design Drawings.
- Design Development Drawings.
- Construction Documents.
- Coordination with multiple disciplines.
Software knowledge requirements:
- Autodesk Revit 2011 or later.
- Autodesk – AutoCAD 2011 or later.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Work ethic:
- Must practice high morals and ethics.
- Must be focused, organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize.
- Positive Attitude • Ability to work closely within a team.
Education Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture/Drafting / Design / Engineering technology or equivalent job related experience.
