14/01/2015My client, an international multidisciplinary consultancy, is looking for a Municipality Liaison Architect to join their Dubai based team.
This individual will be responsible for liaising with government entities and authorities, communicating regarding projects and approvals, feeding information back to the Design team, with an understanding of the technical details of major build projects.
This professional will be involved with various regions municipalities, however will be mainly dealing with Dubai and Abu Dhabi authorities.
Meetings will be followed up with report writing to HQ Design team to ensure that the guidelines and Building code criteria are relayed into design and documentation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you must have a BA/B.Sc. Architecture and 5+ years’ experience. The individual must be UAE based and have previously worked in a similar role with a reputable design/architecture/engineering consultancy. Strong technical capabilities, expert knowledge of UAE building codes and significant experience liaising with UAE municipalities is required. A track record in gaining approvals and professional demeanor is also necessary.
Proficiency in Arabic essential.

Senior Designer
14/01/2015NAGA LLC is seeking a Senior Designer for Cambridge, MA office. Must have a NAAB accredited MArch and 5 years’ experience as Designer. Carry out theoretical and design precedents research for new projects. Generate contemporary design conceptual forms and partis by using free-hand sketching and pre-design software including Rhino, Sketchup, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Revit. Perform preliminary zoning and code analysis for projects. Generate project site analysis and pre-design diagrams for projects. Generate project programs, space adjacency diagrams and space plans for projects based on design briefs from clients. Perform area calculations, feasibility studies and preliminary cost estimates for projects. Generate project presentations in Powerpoint or pdf fo.rmat.
