JDArchitects were commissioned to work with local architects A2Z to design and formulate a master plan for a 9 hectare site in the west area of Dubai city, close to international airport. The central zone has a hotel with serviced apartments, shops and restaurants surrounding a piazza. JDA have designed a modern, sustainable development with local influences taken from traditional Emirate architecture. This includes a mosque, medical centres and nurseries. Mirdif is a gated community with all facilities for living in this harsh environment.
